Description:

Teaching assistant will assist a faculty member in grading assignments, entering grades, organizing coursework, and performing miscellaneous tasks on a weekly basis.

Teaching assistant will maintain prompt communication with the professor regarding any grading and/or student concerns.

Priority will be given to applicants who have taken FLHD or Social Work courses, particularly the courses the professor is needing a TA for.*

Qualifications:

  • Must be proactive in handling responsibilities as well as communicating with the professor

  • Must be able to provide clear, objective feedback to student assignments using assignment description and/or grading rubric

  • Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner

  • Must have excellent spelling and grammatical skills, as well as a familiarity with APA writing guidelines

  • Must be mature, dependable, and detail oriented

  • In your application, please provide a list of the FLHD and/or SW courses you have taken thus far, including the semester and year you took them. Also include a list of future FLHD or SW courses you plan to take, and when. You may also indicate a specific professor in the department you would like to work for.
